About this beach

Warnings and hazards

Beach is alcohol-free 🛑

This stunning beach is located on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico in Destin, USA. It’s quite spacious and extends for 1.3 miles.

If you’re a nature lover and looking for a quiet relaxation site, you’ll have a truly unforgettable time in this place. The sand is soft and sugar white and the water is crystal clear with different shades of green. With many picnic areas and comfortable amenities, this well maintained and alcohol-free beach is a perfect spot for a family vacation.

The entrance fee is about $6 and depends on the number of people in the car.

Natural beauty

It is one of the loveliest beaches you’ll find on the Gulf coast. The sand is fine, pristine, and literally white while the water is emerald and perfectly clean and clear – except for some accidental litter tourists sometimes leave. You can have a wonderful walk with a breeze along a ¾ mile loop trail with signs telling about the surrounding plants. Educational!

Great place for families and pet lovers

There are many covered picnic areas, pavilions with grills and tables, where you can cook your own food and enjoy dining in the open air with a great view of the gulf. All the restrooms, changing rooms, and showers are neat and clean, which makes visiting the beach quite comfortable.

You can rent umbrellas and sunbeds.

There is also a play area for children.

If you’re a dog owner, you can take your pet with you and have a wonderful time playing in the water or hiking along the nature trail, which can be a real workout on hot summer days.

No crowds and lots of parking

One of the most notable advantages of this beach is that it doesn’t have too many visitors and they rather look for the natural environment than for partying.

There is a lot of space, which makes it quite easy to find a quiet relaxation spot.

In contrast to many other beaches, there’s a lot of parking as well. You can also arrive here in your RV or camper and enjoy your stay in a comfortable campground with a private atmosphere and free Wi-Fi.
