About this beach

Warnings and hazards

Bring an ant spray – there are many ants.

There isn’t much to do except for enjoying nature and nudity.

Located in the Florida Naturist Park in Hudson, Sunshine Beach Club is a family-oriented club for clothing-optional outdoor recreation. It features a white-sand beach on a nice small lake, volleyball playground, and primitive camping facilities.

It’s a scenic quiet spot in the bosom of nature to get away from the city stresses and just relax for a couple of days. Sunshine Beach Club is peaceful and tranquil, so if you’re looking for a place to party, you should choose another destination for your holiday.

Location and Access

Sunshine Beach Club is located at 13514 Lauren Avenue in the Florida Naturist Park, Hudson, Florida. Membership fees are reasonable. They accept only cash.

History Remarks

Florida Naturist Park was created in 1959 and became the third naturist venue in Pasco County, which is considered to be the nudist capital of the USA. Soon after its creation, the park became a pilgrimage site for the so-called Naturist Religious Society. Now it’s owned by Art Gulvin and includes a few acres of amenities for nudist recreation. Yearly membership costs $140.

Club Facilities

The club offers the most basic amenities such as restrooms, showers with hot and cold water, washers and dryers. Otherwise, there isn’t much infrastructure here.

If you like picnics in the fresh air, bring your favorite food – you can make use of the club’s grills and picnic tables. Overall, the club facilities are okay to use but require more maintenance and cleaning.

Swimming Conditions

The lakeside beach is picturesque and offers some relaxing naked swimming and sunbathing far from crowds and noise. The lake is small and probably not a fanciful place to swim, but dipping in on a hot summer day is definitely enjoyable. If the day is way too hot, you can always hide from the sun in the shade of trees – just bring a chair and a good book.

Outdoor Activities

Apart from nude swimming and sunbathing, Sunshine Beach Club offers a small variety of outdoor activities such as picnicking, making bonfires, camping and playing volleyball. If you bring a book, you can read. Well, there isn’t much entertainment and you’re likely to enjoy your stay if you’re a nature lover and seeking a bit of tranquility and seclusion.

Visitor questions:

Question: Price for this year. ? Cleanliness? How bad is the ant problem? Thank you.
Asked by Terry almost 4 years ago
Answer: For prices, please contact the Sunshine Beach Club administration +1-352-585-1511. When it comes to cleanliness, we've given this place 4 stars out of 5. Ants can be an issue if you sunbathe on the grass. If you lie on the sand, it's not a problem.
Question: Hey how are ya? My question is do they have nature trails for walking n are they secluded? Also they have a lake with a beach but what about gators? Also did you enjoy your time there? I love places where one can be nude with nature n not be overly crowded with people.
Asked by Bill about 4 years ago
Answer: The lake is rather small, and no alligators have been encountered there so far. As for the man-made nature trails, you won't find them either. The beach club is surrounded by wild woods not treated by humans. However, you can still take a nice walk in the forest. As for the sought-for solitude, visitors report this place not to be too crowded with people.
Question: Is there availability for a class A RV in a primitive remote site?
Asked by Karen Kosidowski-Bergen over 3 years ago
Answer: Unfortunately, there's no information about the RV classes allowed for camping there. You'd better contact the Sunshine Beach Club administration +1-352-585-1511.
Question: How much would I need to spend a day nude here? It would only be one time as I am moving out of state in May.
Asked by bob about 3 years ago
Answer: Some time ago, the prices were $10 per day and $25 for 2 months. To get informed about the current prices, please contact the Sunshine Beach Club administration +1-352-585-1511.
