Blue Whale Inn is our family cottage on St. George Island with direct access to & stellar views from our deck of the Gulf of Mexico. It was built in the 70's & Purchased by us in the early 90's. It's available for rent (in 7 or 5 day blocks only) to the general public on a limited basis at a very fair price. The Whale is paid for... we're just trying to cover the taxes and insurance.
This vacation house is NOT a ' beach mansion'. It's older and it shows it! We want to be completely upfront and clear to potential guests regarding (what some people have expressed) as ‘negatives'. The furniture is not new or fancy (although quite comfortable). The beds, however are all new and comfortable. The appliances work well, but are by no means modern. The floor is uneven in places (it is solid and structurally sound though). Not all the windows open (although there is at least one fully functional window w/screen in every bedroom). The surrounding grounds are completely natural... there is NO fancy landscaping.

Relax in the enclosure of oak, pine and palm, yet still be able bike or walk 3 short blocks to the grocery, restaurants and shops. When it's time for a swim, just slip out your backyard down your private path and shortcut toward the beach which is only a 3-minute walk away.
This uniquely designed, multi-level home is extremely spacious, with a large open living area featuring a hardwood floor, a dramatic vaulted ceiling, skylights, a 46'' HDTV with cable/Blu-ray and comfortable furniture, incl. queen sleeper. If you are cooking in the kitchen, you can still be part of the conversation and fun, as the kitchen is open to the living and dining area. Enjoy your meals indoors or out, as the tiled dining room opens onto a large 40' X 12' sun-drenched, partially covered deck equipped for ultimate relaxation and sun worshiping. If it gets too hot there, simply take a break and relax in the palm tree shaded hammock in the tree grove next to the bbq pit.

One Particular Harbor is a “Magic kind of Medicine” The moment you enter, the view will take your breath away. The spacious Great Room features an entire wall of windows to the Gulf and a large Covered Deck – Great Place to Relax and watch the world go by. Jimmy Buffet must have been thinking of this very spot when he wrote this song. The dolphins and shrimp boats will keep you glued to your seat. This is a very relaxing, casual beach home, decorated with the intent to be “magic medicine” for stress relief and memory making. The landscaping was designed for maximum privacy which is hard to find. There’s a fireplace for cool nights, a 46” Flat Screen TV/DVD/VCR, Stereo with ipad or smart phone hookup & lots of beach music), books, CD’s – all to get you in the mood for rest, relaxation and fun. The kitchen features multiple seating at the “L” shaped, granite bar or large Dining Table. We’re fully stocked with Dinnerware, Pots & Pans, Utensils and appliances for cooking up some of our fabulous, fresh, local seafood. Lots & lots of original art work all around.
