A nice beach to visit on your way from Texas to Louisiana. The murky waters did not look too welcoming so we decided to skip the swimming part 😅
This rather large beach looked very family-oriented with lots of kids everywhere and families sitting around the picnic tables. Although it says "No Animals" on one of the signs, we did see a few pet-owners with their dogs (leashed).
What I found disappointing was the amount of litter lying around the area. Few times I saw glass right in the sand, so you probably don't want to take your shoes off.
Additional information about the lake (including lodging options, restaurants, and entertainment) can be found on the official website of the town.
