Deerfield Beach is a seaside community in southeastern Florida that changed its initial name intentionally to let tourists know it has a beach – and this beach is actually pretty good! Location and Access
Deerfield Beach is located on the Atlantic Ocean in southeastern Florida, just south of Boca Raton. There is a parking lot with a sea view adjacent to the beach (within a very short walking distance).
The beach is sufficiently equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas for your convenience. Overall, the area is well-maintained and features enough dustbins, making it easy for visitors to keep it clean. Once you get hungry, you can quickly reach one of the city’s cafes and restaurants, which are within walking distance.
Deerfield Beach is a perfect place to soak up the sun and swim. There are sunbeds to lie on and umbrellas to hide from the sun when it gets scorching. There is a pier (about 1000 feet) on Deerfield Beach where you can stroll over the water and listen to the waves splashing underneath. Along the pier, you will find benches and picnic tables where you can conveniently sit, have your lunch, and enjoy the sea views. If the sun gets too hot, you can find shelter in a shaded pavilion at the end. The pier is also popular with local fishermen.
If you and your friends are sports enthusiasts, you can make use of one of the nine volleyball nets on the beach. Located north of the pier, they are available on a first-come-first-serve basis for no fee. Amateur, as well as semi-professional tournaments, are held here during the summer months.
