Location and Access
Mexico Beach is located along US-98, Florida. The nearest airport is Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport. Mexico Beach has plenty of free parking. Officially, the beach is open from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.; there are plenty of access points where you can enter the beach for free.
Beach Conditions
The beach is usually clean and uncrowded. There is plenty of room to relax at a distance from others. The sand is fine, white, and soft and, amazingly, it never gets too hot to step on!
You can collect a good assortment of medium-sized shells – there are quite many of them in the sand. There is a scenic pier to walk over the water and to fish, and it’s free to enter.
The water is crystal clear and warm and swimming in it is enjoyable. However, there are no lifeguards so please be careful in the water and keep a close eye on children.

You can find clean restroom and shower facilities at various spots within a short walk from the beach, for example, near the pier, near Toucan’s, etc.
Rentals
You can rent umbrellas, beach chairs, and watersport equipment (such as jet skis, parasailing, etc.) on the stretch of beach near El Governor Motel.
Dining
There are barely any chain fast-food restaurants in the town but there are some fabulous local restaurants that provide the perfect setting to spend time with your nearest and dearest and enjoy the local flair.
