D.A.R.E. Power Park is located on Lake Martin, 6 miles west of Dadeville, and features a very nice sandy beach.
It is a perfect recreational spot for families and visitors with children. In the territory of the park, you will find covered pavilions with power outlets, picnic tables, and open grills where you can cook your BBQ or birthday dinner.
The park is open from 9 AM to 8 PM and you can access it either by vessel or by vehicle via Young’s Ferry Road.

Family- and kid-friendly
It’s the most enjoyable place for visitors with children. The water is shallow and thus quite safe for kids to play and swim and there is plenty of white sand children are always so enthusiastic about!
Despite the fact that D.A.R.E. Power Park is quite popular among locals, there are no cars, no loud music, and no drunks.
It’s a nice place to spend time in peace and quiet by yourself or with your nearest and dearest, enjoying the lake and the beautiful nature of the park.
Well-kept facilities
The territory of the park is quite extensive, about 30 acres, and it features such amenities as public toilets, grills, shaded pavilions, picnic tables, fishing piers, docks, an amphitheater, and a beach. The park facilities are well-maintained and very clean.
Pet policies
It’s important to note that dog-owners are not permitted to take their pets to the park or beach. There were cases when people with dogs were not allowed to enter and had to find another place to visit or go back home.
Time for BBQ
The park is dotted with covered pavilions with grills and tables and this fact makes it a really nice place to have a picnic or barbeque – in the fresh air, by the lake, with your friends or family! If you’re planning a family reunion or a birthday party, it might be a good idea to organize your event at the park.
