Located in Cypermont Point State Park, and sometimes referred to as 'Sycamore point', this half-mile man-made beach offers lots of activities for every taste: swimming, windsurfing, fishing, crabbing, grilling or enjoying wildlife - you name it.
Entrance fee is $3 per person during daytime. If you are planning on staying for a few days you can stay in one of the clean and roomy cabins. Every cabin has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a large living room which is also a kitchen and a dining room. Each cabin has a picnic table with a charcoal pit next to it. Wireless internet is also available. No washing machines though, so if you are staying for a longer period, keep that in mind. Also, I have to note that the cabins could use some maintenance, but for a few days' stay, they are perfectly fine.
The Park has a huge fishing area, a fishing pier, a separate swimming beach and a beach for non-motorized boats. A dedicated area reserved for kiters (swimming in this area is prohibited).
If you have a pet, make sure to keep her on a leash – restrictions apply! Additionally, you cannot leave your dog unattended. (For additional information about pet restrictions call (888) 867-4510)
If you don't feel like cooking there's a number of great cafes and restaurants nearby. If you need a store there's a good one in Lydia which is only a short drive away. The beach is pretty crowded during holidays, so plan your time ahead.
