Bradenton Beach is a small city in the southern part of Anna Maria Island. Featuring a gorgeous beach area with white sand and clear turquoise waters, it is also known as one of the best beaches in West Coast Florida.

Location and Access
Bradenton Beach is located on the southern part of Anna Maria Island, Florida, and features many access points. Traffic isn’t too heavy, but still, it’s better to go early on summer weekends.
There is plenty of free and convenient parking. There is also a free trolley running around the island’s communities, which makes exploring Anna Maria Island even easier and more convenient.

Bradenton Beach offers plentiful amenities such as restrooms, outdoor showers, changing areas, snack bars, and convenient picnic areas. For visitors with little kids, there is a small playground. There are also lots of bars, restaurants, and shops nearby the beach – almost anything you may need is within walking distance.
Sand and Water
Bradenton Beach is clean and very scenic. The sand is sugar-white and hard-packed, convenient for walking and good for building sandcastles. There are lots of shells, which kids and shell collectors appreciate.
The water is spectacularly beautiful and just delightful for cooling off and swimming on a hot summer day. There are large shallow areas and lifeguards on duty, so swimming is rather safe. Just be aware that there are plenty of stingrays in the area, so exercise caution when in the water.

There are nice picnic areas with tables and grills, so bring your own food to make some delicious barbecue for a picnic on the shore. For sports enthusiasts, there is a dedicated area for beach volleyball.
The sand is hard-packed and convenient to walk on, so once you’re tired of soaking up the sun, you can stroll along the shore and enjoy the soothing serene views of the beach and expansive ocean.

On Anna Maria Island, you’ll get a chance to see dolphins, stingrays, and manatees. There is also a variety of fish and bird species.
